Beware Where You Park!
A beverage manufacturer’s drivers, responsible for finding
secure, cost-effective parking for their trucks as well as
for paying parking fees and submitting expenses for
reimbursement, had a habit of letting these things slip.
Trucks were being towed or booted due to nonpayment,
and vandals were damaging trucks parked in unsecured
locations. All of this resulted in vehicle damage, downtime
and product loss. The company accepted our recommendation
to create a new off-site parking policy and establish corporate |
|
accounts with reputable parking facilities. Our client also put
into place a communications plan that conveyed requirements
of the new policy to the field. Subsequent ongoing
communications enabled the company to enforce driver
compliance, eliminating the various non-compliant practices
and related fees and fines, vehicle downtime, vandalism,
product loss, and—most important—eliminating the delays
to and the resulting
dissatisfaction of its customers. |
