| If a complex fleet is any one or combination of the above,
then even the simplest fleets of today are more complex
than those of 25 years ago. Today's fleets are constantly
integrating new software and/or devices into processes
and/or vehicles to try and outpace competitors, racing
against the clock through the congestion of new millenium
cities, and working hard to stay afloat in a sea of government
regulations and corporate policies. Every fleet does
this every day.
On any given day over the fleet's lifecycle, something can
change or go wrong anywhere its vehicles operate. And any
change or fix today is likely to cost the company money, slow
the work down or possibly interrupt service to customers.
Complex fleets have consequences.
Embracing Complexity
Companies sometimes come to ARI thinking that standardizing
big fleet challenges is the simplest and best way to tackle
them. But nothing is simple about the fleet business. Every
time a company standardizes to accommodate a pre-defined business
process or existing technology, the firm is probably putting
time limits on the shelf-life of its solution. This can undermine
the company's business advantages downstream. |

Although other fleet management
providers may shy away from handling complex fleets, ARI embraces
the challenge. We have firsthand knowledge of the complexities
impacting the industries and fleets we serve. Our professionals
help companies better understand their complexity and together
we customize solutions and capabilities that solve problems
more effectively at every point in the fleet's lifecycle.
Our solutions deliver value by driving differentiation as
well as efficiency into the way companies run their fleets—and
by giving those companies the power to turn complexity into
marketplace advantage.
